無性にお寿司が食いたくなったので昨日は Q を誘っていつもの回転寿司に行ってきました. いや〜いつ行っても美味い. キリンビールも最高.

今日は今日でまたお寿司が食べたくなったのでバイト前にバイト先近くのスシローに寄ってみましたが, 入った瞬間出てきました. 実はスシローに行くのは初めてで, テーブル席しかない(カウンター席がない)なんて知りませんでした. ファーストフード店やカフェには1人で入れるまでに成長しましたが, さすがにテーブル(ファミリー)席で1人で食べる勇気はまだありません...

初めて出会ったときは特別な印象はなかった. 試聴した瞬間惚れ込んで狂ったように聴き続けたってわけでもない. でも何かの縁でかれこれ1年以上(2年近く?)の付き合いだと思う. そんなカナダ出身のバンド - Alexisonfire. 最近のお気に入りが彼らの To A Friend. 特に最初のコーラスが終わるまでがお気に入り.

L.A. 時間で昨日15日に開催された Macworld 2008. 相変わらず Steve Jobs の基調講演は魅力的. そして Apple のアイデアはいつも僕らユーザをわくわくどきどきさせてくれる. 結局, せっかく早く研究室に着いたのに研究もせず, 1時間半以上に及ぶ Jobs の講演を最初から最後まで観てしまいました.

今日の全体打合せは久々に長丁場でした. 14時45分から20時半過ぎまで約6時間. いつも通り内職してましたが, 最後の1〜2時間は集中力が散漫になり, なかなか終わらない打合せにちょっと, というか, かなりイライラしてました.

最近イライラモヤモヤモワモワモンモンすることが多い気がする. ストレスですかね. ストレスレスなバンクーバー生活に戻りたい...

そういえばどっかで誰か(家族だっけな)に聞いた話なんですが, ストレスを全く受けずに生活できれば人間は(確か)200年くらい生きられるそうです.

1つ前のテストの結果が出る前に次のテストを申し込まなければいけないという TOEIC 委員会のあくどい策略のせいで, 11月のに引き続き2回連続で受けてきました. 前回予想以上にいい点が取れたので受けなくてもよかったのですが, 受験料6500円を無駄にしたくないという貧乏魂を炸裂させ, 寒い中わざわざ明治学院大学(戸塚駅からバスで15分くらいっ!!)にまで行ってきました.

当のテストの出来の方はというと, 見事に炸裂しませんでした... ＿|￣|○
今回は時計を持参しなかったので時間配分がうまく(というか全く)出来ず,「試験終了時刻になりました」といわれたときには, マーク数にして20個ほど未回答の状態でした. その20個を除けば前回と変わらないかそれ以上の出来だったと思いますが...

密かに前回よりも高得点を狙っていたのですが, どうやら狙いすぎるあまり Part 7 (長文読解)をじっくりやりすぎたみたいです. 何事も平常心が大切ですね.

まぁでもこれでやっと TOEIC から解放され, のびのびと(TOEIC 対策じゃない)英語の勉強ができます: 24シーズンVI観たりとか, 24シーズンVI観たりとか, 24シーズンVI観たりとか.
